About Sarteano,

the home of TCFT 2017

Last year TCFT’s residency was held in the beautiful small historic town of Sarteano which is part of the Province of Siena in the Italian region of Tuscany.

Our residencies bring together young people, artists and community leaders of all ages from across Europe for two weeks of workshops, discussions, visits and cultural exchange. At the heart of TCFT is inclusion and the accessibility of the arts to people of all backgrounds, regardless of disabilities, gender, race or class.

2017's theme was 'Unione/Unity', one that was explored through different art forms and expressive means.

TCFT 2017 in Sarteano was the final part of TCFT's first phase, which has been co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. Our partners organisations and participants discussed the future of TCFT during these two weeks.

Find out more about TCFT Sarteano

In April, during TCFT Sarteano, a group of participants visited Rondine. With a beautiful Tuscan backdrop, the Citadella della Pace brings together young people from conflicting communities across the world in an attempt to breakdown prejudices, the notion of 'the other' and encourage peaceful coexistence.

Amy Wisenfeld narrates and goes further into the philosophy, successes and possible issues with this unique project.
